Boutai was born in the Dominican Republic in December 2016 as an idea for men’s gifts during the holiday season. Our name comes from the pronunciation of “bow-tie” in Spanish (/boʊ/)
Bow-ties are a magnificent form of expression. We embrace that challenge by creating beautiful pieces handmade to perfection, guaranteeing no two bow-ties are the same, even if they are made from the same fabric. We hand pick all materials and prints and only create limited quantities of each style. If you see one you love, make sure you get it before it’s gone! Our bow-ties are notorious conversation starters, everyone will love your unique taste!
We believe and promote women empowerment, all our artisan sewers are single moms, taught and employed by us and many of which had never worked before. We are committed to equal rights and equal opportunities and our growth directly impacts the lives of single women in the community of Yamasa, Monte Plata.
